Archive of Touch

Henriksen’s practice has evolved from jewelry design into sculptural object-making. The exhibition introduces a collection of ten works that investigate transformation and the conditions through which form emerges.
Approaching materials as if they were blank pages, Henriksen considers surfaces as sites where histories can be inscribed. Yet her work also questions whether such
narratives truly belong to us. In a moment where digital tools enable the rapid production of form, objects risk becoming empty gestures, resolved before their meaning is ever interrogated. For Henriksen, however, materials are never neutral; they carry traces of previous lives, embedded within their structure long before they are shaped.
The works in Archive of Touch exist within these in-between states, moments where meaning is transferred through gesture and contact. Form is never fixed; each piece exists as a temporary condition within an ongoing process of transformation. What remains are fragments, objects continuously shaped and reshaped over time. In this sense, this archive is not static, but tactile and evolving, formed through the act of touch.
